PRE-LIGHT:
This is a nice big cigar. I love it's size. I'm always a fan of a 6" cigar thats within range of 60 RG. The wrapper is a very nice, dark color, very attractive. as I usually do, I give it a little squeeze, and it's solid. not usually a good sign, I get curious, so I squeeze harder. still nothing. It's as if I'm holding a steel rod (a good looking steel rod), and im already getting a bad feeling about this smoke.

THE SMOKE:
It takes a bit longer to light, but that is expected with a cigar of this size, so it's not a surprise, nor am I saying it's a bad thing. Once lit, I take the first puff, expecting a bit of ash as it is the first draw, and although there was a slight ash taste, it wasn't as bad as I expected, and neither is the draw. After a few minutes of smoking to judge the draw, I can say that it is surprisingly good, not the best, but much better then expected and I have no complaints. As far as tastes goes, I get a cocoa taste, with a hint of pepper and even a bit of leather. This seems to stay the same through out the cigar, though after the first 1/3 the cocoa becomes a back drop and I start to get a little coffee flavor, very good. Also coming through is a very slight hint of cinnamon that comes and goes through out the cigar. The ash, at a little over 1/3 of the way through the cigar, is holding on strong. no sign of falling. However I'm relaxing at a local B&M so I ash it just to be safe. This cigar seems to be burning pretty even, what little it varies tends to correct itself. I'm actually impressed with this cigar. It is a very strong cigar, and I found my self having to buy a bottle of VOSS sparkling water to go with it. I get passed the halfway mark, not far from 2/3 actually, and it starts to burn uneven and I have to correct it myself, the draw is still good and this cigar is still very firm. I start to get a little earthy taste, but it goes away after a few puffs, never to return again.

OVERALL:
Good cigar, good draw, great taste, enough said.

RATING:
8 out of 10
